Saturday, April 30

Julie sat at her desk, barely seeing the computer monitor in front of her. She drummed her fingers on the top of the desk, gritting her teeth at the sound of the woman's voice at the next cubicle. Hate was a word she didn't like to use, but it was hard to hear the grating sounds of her rival day in and day out without finally snapping.

  1. Julie knew she had to find a different job, but where? She will have to considered being unemployed just for sanity's sake if something doesn't become available soon.

  2. Constantly passed over promotion, she had spent six long years in this very cubicle, staring at the gray walls. Coworkers came and went, but Julie stayed in the same place. Her efforts never seemed to get noticed. In fact, Mr. Bliss told her just last week he'd like to see her take more initiative. more initiative? The only initiative she wanted to take today was to take her pencil and jab it down Chatty Cathy's throat in the next cubicle. Now THAT would get noticed, she bet.
