Dread filled her heart as she entered her familiar foyer, wondering how it could have all gone so terribly, dreadfully wrong. Opening the door, she let out a sudden, terrifying scream.
She could see her breath forming puffs of nervous adrenaline filled mist in the air of the cold room, and at once realized that the life she had once taken for granted was forever gone.
Alone in the darkness with the realization of what just happened, Sam slowing walked toward her front door.
